Communications: charities and non-profit organisations

Fundraising and communications go hand-in-hand. A charitable organisation has to both present itself well, and establish its presence in the community through social media, PR and traditional visual communication to build a relationship with supporters and funders. The charity has to tell its story confidently and clearly so that funders can assess their eligibility for funding, businesses can see the benefits of a supportive relationship, and the public can decide whether to offer support, attend events, volunteer their time, tell their friends about your work, 'like' your social media

Kate has built good relationships with philanthropy advisors, funding assessors and philanthropists to understand what funders expect. She's undertaken a raft of professional courses and is an associate member of the Institute of Fundraising. Kate can help you with writing bids and proposals; campaign branding, strategy and materials; events and stewardship.

I have very much enjoyed working with Kate – she is one of those unique people who is able to give equal attention both to the big picture (thinking about how the communication will come across to its intended audience) and the fine detail. As a result, working with her on design projects is challenging, rewarding and fun. Her intelligent approach helps you as the client to be confident that you are getting a quality product. Tany Alexander
