Related project: HAZ schools' murals at the Mechanics' Institute
A series of 2.4 metre high information panels and murals hide the derelict Mechanics' Institute at the centre of the Railway Village.
The 5-year HAZ project (Historic England, Swindon Borough Council, the Towns Fund) has revitalised the area. The Mechanics' Institute restoration will requireadditional funding. The panels tell the stories behind the adjoining murals' themes.
The brand's typographic style rightly recieved public criticism – it's hard to read.
